Analyzing The Reality of Organizational Citizenship Behavior Practicing in the Management of Physical Preparation and Sports in Syria

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reality of practicing organizational citizenship behavior in the management of physical preparation and sports in Syria.  To achieve the study objectives, the descriptive method was used by distributing a research questionnaire to a relevant sample of 181 leaders and workers involved in physical preparation and sports management in Syria. Out of these, 157 questionnaires were returned and deemed suitable for analysis, resulting in a response rate of 86.7%. Consequently, the collected data was analyzed and hypotheses were tested using the SPSS statistical Program. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: There is a high level of organizational citizenship behavior practicing in the management of Physical Preparation and Sports in Syria. The results of the study also showed that there was a high level of practice for all dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior in the organization under study, where the behavior of conscience was the most practiced among the organizational citizenship behaviors, followed by civility and sportsmanship, then altruism and civilized behavior at the same level..

The study concluded with several recommendations, with the most significant being: consolidating the idea of ​​organizational citizenship behaviors in the management of physical preparation and sports, and providing an appropriate work environment and organizational climate to enhance voluntary positive behaviors among employees..
