Group T: The experimental group included ten implants that received a healing abutment manufactured according to the case.
All implants were performed using the two-stage surgical technique, where the implants were placed and the healing period was waited for 3 months in the lower jaw and 4 months in the upper jaw. In the second surgical stage, healing abutments were placed according to the group. Then a clinical examination was conducted to evaluate the soft tissues using the FIPS scale and the results were compared between the two groups.
Results: The results showed that there were statistically significant differences when comparing FIPS values between the two groups after 6 months in favor of customized healing abutment.
Conclusions: Within the limits of this study, we conclude that the use of a customized healing abutment contributed to improving the cosmetic and functional aspect of the soft tissues around dental.
