Abstract

It is known that Soft tissue Calcifications are a frequent complication in patients with chronic renal failure. In most instances they remain clinically silent. However, in a minority of patients they are responsible for complications and may even become life-threatening. Different locations and types of calcium deposits have been characterized. Many underlying factors are thought to contribute to their formation, in particular increased calcium x phosphate product, duration of dialysis and duration of CKD. In most cases, many local factors are thought to be involved as well. Treatment of these calcifications  is generally difficult, so prevention should be the goal.

من المعروف أنّ تكلسات الأنسجة الرخوة اختلاط شائع لدى مرضى القصور الكلوي المزمن وتبقى هذه التكلسات صامتة سريرياً في معظم الأوقات. على أية حال فإن هذه التكلسات تكون مسؤولة عن الاختلاطات لدى عدد قليل من المرضى وقد تكون حتى مهددة للحياة لديهم. تم توصيف أماكن متنوعة وأنماط مختلفة من ترسبات بللورات الكلس. يعتقد أن عوامل مستبطنة متعددة تتدخل في عملية تشكل هذه التكلسات وتحديداً الجداء الكلسي الفوسفوري، مدة التحال، ومدة الاصابة بالقصور الكلوي. يمكن كذلك أن تتداخل العوامل الموضعية في بعض الحالات. أن علاج هذه التكلسات صعب بشكل عام ويجب أن يكون الهدف الوقاية من تشكلها.
